The Northwich Business Improvement District (BID) is pleased to announce the appointment of Lynn Riley as its new BID Manager. Having taken over the day-to-day management in April 2025, Lynn is the first point of contact for local businesses, retailers, and organisations within the BID area.

Lynn has been a passionate advocate for Cheshire’s market towns for over 2 decades, working closely with key stakeholders across both the public and private sectors. Her extensive background in customer service, business engagement, sales, marketing, and communications makes her a valuable asset to the Northwich BID team.

Having worked alongside key organisations and stakeholders on major local projects, her experience in collaborative working will be instrumental in driving forward initiatives that support and enhance the town’s business community.

Speaking about her appointment, Lynn said: “I’m delighted to be joining the Northwich BID team and working with local businesses to build on the fantastic progress already made. Northwich has a rich history and a thriving business community, and I look forward to supporting its continued growth and success.”

Jane Hough, Deputy Director for Business Improvement Districts and Business Services, welcomed Lynn to the team, saying: “We’re thrilled to have Lynn on board as Northwich BID Manager. Her extensive experience and long-standing commitment to supporting local businesses will be invaluable as we continue driving awareness of Northwich as a vibrant, exciting and successful retail and cultural area. We look forward to seeing the positive impact she will bring to the BID and the wider town.”

Lynn Riley’s appointment comes as the third Northwich Business Improvement District (BID 3) is already well underway, following a strong 83% ‘yes’ vote from local businesses. With over £1.5 million in private sector-led investment committed between now and 2029, BID 3 is focused on enhancing the town’s vibrancy, attracting visitors, and creating an environment where local businesses can thrive. Lynn joins an experienced team that includes Jon Houghton, leading on events and activations, and Steph Leese, overseeing training and development for local businesses.

A key pillar of BID 3 is business sustainability — supporting a greener, more resilient future through upskilling opportunities, environmental best practices, and collaborative town centre initiatives. The town continues to benefit from a vibrant year-round events calendar, including the Pina Colada Festival, which draws thousands of visitors into the town centre and provides a valuable boost to local businesses. From national recognition in RHS In Bloom and Visa’s Let’s Celebrate Town Awards, to delivering training for hundreds of local employees, Northwich BID has a proven track record of driving meaningful impact.
